Presentation Format

Each presenting author will have 20 minutes; 15 minutes for presentation and 5 minutes for questions and discussion. The keynote lectures will be 40 minutes long, 35 minutes for presentation and 5 minutes for questions and discussion.

Computer with USB ports, video beam and slide and overhead projectors will be available.

Registration Fee

Registration fee for the conference is Euro 30 (converted to local currency - dinar) before October 31. Please note that after October 31, the registration fee is 40 Euro. It is obligatory for all participants except for participants with keynote lectures. Researches under 35 years are not obliged to pay for the conference fee, only for the conference dinner event in reduced price of 10 Euros.

The registration fee covers the copy of conference proceedings; welcome reception, coffee services during session brakes and the entrance ticket for the conference dinner event.

Opening, Memorial Lectures and Invited Keynote Lectures will take place on November 15, 2004 in the morning.

Conference Dinner

Conference dinner is scheduled for the Tuesday November 16, 2004. Conference entrance ticket will be in the promotion package which will be given during registration (see Registration Fee).

The organizers of the Conference request the pleasure of authors/co-authors/accompanying persons company at dinner in hotel “Palas”, Topličin venac 23, Belgrade, on sixth floor. Tel: 011-637-222. The conference dinner will officially start at 20:00h.

The hotel "Palas" is in a near walk distance from the conference site The Rectorate of the University of Belgrade.

The collective departure to the hotel "Palas", is scheduled for the 19:30h, after the parallel event Celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Yugoslav Society of Mechanics.

The price of accompanying person ticket is 12 Euros.

Call for Abstract/Papers

The abstract submission deadline is extended to September 25, 2004. Up to one page abstract on topics related to the themes should be sent on the conference secretariat e-mail address: cm2004@matf.bg.ac.yu. All communications must be in English and bear the names of all authors, their affiliations and full mailing addresses.

The deadline for sending short/full paper is extended to November 1, 2004.

There are three ways which you may act now regarding your paper submission:

  1. Contribute only with already submitted abstract which will be printed in the Book of Abstracts

  2. Extend your abstract up to 6 pages and send it for a Short Paper contribution for the Book of Papers. Your Short Paper manuscript must contain an abstract, main body, conclusions, references, etc.

  3. Send us a full paper up to 30 pages (double spaced) or 20 pages (single spaced) for a Book of Papers with possibility that it is, after oral presentation at the conference, subsequently submitted for possible publication in the special issues of the journals Theoretical and Applied Mechanics or Thermal Science, or see  http://www.cm2004.matf.bg.ac.yu/paper.html

Conference Publications

The proceedings in the form of the Volume of Abstracts and a CD-Rom containing received full papers (up to 30 pages) will be made available to all delegates at the conference.

The Volume of Abstracts and CD-Rom will have ISBN and CIP numbers.

Submission of Conference Papers for Journal publication

It is possible to submit paper presented at the conference for subsequent publication in special issues of the journal Theoretical and Applied Mechanics published by the Yugoslav Society of Mechanics, and the  journal Thermal Science published by the The Laboratory for Thermal Engineering and Energy, VINČA Institute, Belgrade, based on the rule that only papers that were presented at the conference are eligible for submission for the journal special issues.

Parallel event

Celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Yugoslav Society of Mechanics is scheduled for the 18:15h-19:15h on the November 16, 2004 in the main conference room of the The Rectorate of the University of Belgrade (see Conference Location).

The organizers of the Celebration ask the pleasure of visitors/guests of this event at dinner in hotel “Palas”, Topličin venac 23, Belgrade, on sixth floor. The conference dinner will officially start at 20:00h.  The price of celebration dinner ticket is 12 Euros.

The collective departure to the hotel "Palas" is scheduled for the 19:30h.
